With potassium carbonate; In N,N-dimethyl-formamide; for 4h;Reflux; The reaction mixture of (0.045 mol, 2.5gm)of 4-amino phenol (0.045 mol, 4.10gm) 2-bromo-2-methyl propionic acid, and(0.03 mol) of K2CO3 was added to DMF 10 ml as a solvent to form a even solution. Further, the reaction mixture was allowed to reflux over heating mantle for 4 hours, then the reaction mixture was poured into a beaker containing crushed ice, the precipitate was appeared, which was filtered and re-crystallizeby using methanol.
