After cooling to room temperature, colorless block crystals were collected by filtration and washed by water and ethanol several times (yield 23.3%, based on BTX).

Red block crystals of 1were obtained (Yield: 37.8% based on Co). Elemental analysis(%) calcd for C23H14CoN4O7: C, 53.40; H, 2.73; N, 10.83.Found: C, 53.52; H, 2.74; N, 10.86. IR (cm1): 3138w, 1671s,1627s, 1538s, 1425s, 1341s, 1290s, 867 m, 740s, 669s.
