YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
230 mg Under N2, 5-chloro-2-hydrazinylpyrimidine (200 mg, 1.38 mmol, Eq: 1.00) was combined with ethanol (15 ml). 4 M HCl in dioxane (346 mu, 1.38 mmol, Eq: 1.00) (the reaction mixture became a colourless solution) was added and the reaction mixture was cooled to 0 °C (the reaction mixture became a white suspension). A solution of <strong>[80370-42-9]ethyl 2-formyl-3-oxopropanoate</strong> (CAS 80370-42-9) (199 mg, 1.38 mmol, Eq: 1.00) in ethanol (2.6 ml) was added (the reaction mixture became a dark yellow suspension), and the reaction was stirred at RT over 1 hour. The solvent was removed and the reaction mixture was suspended in CH2CI2, filtered-off and concentrated in vacuo to yield 230 mg white solid. MS (ISP): 253.0 ([M+H]+).
