General procedure: In a 4 mL vial at rt, diacetamide (10 mg,0.09 mmol, 1.0 equiv) and hydrazine (0.18 mmol, 2 equiv) were dissolved in 1 mL of DMF. The reaction was stirred at 60 C for 12 h. The resulting crude was filtered through a pad of basic alumina (1 g) using 4 reaction volumes of EtOAc. The crude was concentrated and then directly characterized.
