YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
With hydrogen bromide; acetic acid; In cyclohexane; toluene; at 20℃; for 6h; General procedure: Under the atmosphere, a magnetic stirrer bar, toluene (2 mL),and 1a (104 mg, 1.02 mmol) were charged in a 20 mL roundbottomed glass tube, and the reaction vessel was closed bycapping with a septum. Under stirring, HBr (30 wt% in AcOH, 329 mg, 1.22 mmol) was added to the solution at room temperature. After 30 min the resultant mixture was quenched with asaturated aqueous solution of NaHCO3 (10 mL) and extracted with CH2Cl2 (3 x 10 mL). The combined organic layers were dried over Na2SO4 and evaporated under reduced pressure. Purification of the residual oil by silica gel column chromatography (hexane) gave 2a as colorless liquid (127 mg, 68% yield, 93%E).
