1.01 g With triethylamine; In tetrachloromethane; at 0℃; for 0.25h;Inert atmosphere; To a mixture of <strong>[2033-42-3]1-iodonaphthalen-2-ol</strong> (21e) (513 mg, 1.90 mmol) and bis(3,5-bis-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)phosphine oxide (22) (901 mg, 1.90 mmol) dissolved in CCl4(19 mL) was added triethylamine (0.530 mL, 3.80 mmol) at 0 C. After stirring for 15min at the same temperature, to the mixture was added an aqueous saturated solution of NH4Cl (40 mL). The mixture was extracted with CH2Cl2 (50 mL × 3), and the combined organic extract was dried (Na2SO4), and after filtration, the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was passed through a silica-gel pad withn-hexane/EtOAc = 9/1 to give crude product of 1-iodo-2-naphthyl bis(3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)phosphinate (1.01 g, ca. 1.36 mmol) as a colorless solid. Since the product was almost pure, it was used in the next step without further purification.
