Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are highly porous materials that have been extensively studied in the past 3 decades. Due to their exceptional chemical and physical properties, MOFs show great promise across various fields, including gas storage and separation, catalysis, drug delivery, sensing, and biomedicine. The continuous advancement in MOF synthesis opens up new possibilities, offering innovative solutions to the challenges of industries and scientific communities worldwide.
Synthesis of MOFs with different ligands allows for varying structures and properties. We are proud to offer extensive portfolio of MOFs ligands that encompasses a wide range of products for the synthesis of novel MOFs:
1. Carboxylic MOF Ligands
As organic ligands, carboxylic acids can form MOFs with large pore sizes, high thermal stability and SBUs (secondary building units) structure, which can effectively prevent the interpenetration of the network. In recent years, a large number of MOFs with carboxylic acids as ligand scaffolds have been synthesized.
2. Nitrogen Containing MOF Ligands
As is known to all, nitrogen atoms exhibit stronger coordination abilities than oxygen atoms in solution. Common nitrogen-containing ligands, such as pyridine and 4,4'-bipyridine, are neutral ligands. When compared to carboxylic acid ligands, they are more stable in alkaline solutions. Therefore, nitrogen containing ligands have been extensively studied for constructing stable MOFs which contain nitrogen-metal bonds.
3. MOF Ligands of Nitrogenous Carboxylic Acids
The introduction of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic rings or nitrogen-containing groups into carboxylic acid ligands can enrich the coordination mode and functionalize the skeleton to improve the performance.
They are provided at very competitive prices and in quantities ranging from 100 mg to 500 g to cater to diverse research needs. Additionally, we can accommodate commercial-scale orders for industrial purposes.
