YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
91.2% at 90℃; for 16 h; 0.00 g of (±)-3-chloro-1,2-propanediol (0.452 mol), 178.00 g of a 30percent aqueous solution of trimethylamine (0.904 mol) and 50 mL of water were added to a 500 mL vial. Then, the temperature was raised to 90 ° C, and the mixture was stirred for 16 hours to complete the reaction of the raw material 3-chloro-1,2-propanediol.The temperature was lowered to 20 ° C, and the reaction mixture was washed three times with ethyl acetate (100 mL×3), and the aqueous solution was collected and concentrated to dryness to give a white solid (70.00 g), yield 91.2percent, HPLC purity 93.40percent.
