The reaction is initially exothermic (temperature rise from 24 to 32° C.) and is kept below 30° C. by cooling. After passing in 1200 g of chlorine, 4percent of monochloro compound, 81.1percent of desired product and 13.3percent of overchlorinated compounds are formed according to GC analysis. |
