75% With hydrogen In methanol at 20℃; for 0.5 h; To (R)-5-(azidomethyl)pyrrolrdin-2-one (150 mg, 1.07 mmol) in MeOH was added Pd/C. The mixture was the placed into an autoclave, degasses three times, charged with 30 psi of H2 and stirred at rt for 30 min. The mixture was the filtered and the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to give (R)-5-(aminomethyl)pyrrolidin-2-one (92 mg, 75percent). LRMS (M +H+) m/z 115.1.
