YieldReaction ConditionsOperation in experiment
With thionyl chloride; at 0 - 20℃; for 2.0h; Example 1 A (cis - racemic mixture)2.00 g (13.9 mmol) cis-cyclobutan-l,2-dicarboxylic acid were mixed with 15.5 mL EtOH at 0°C and 2.15 mL (29.5 mmol) thionyl chloride were slowly added. The mixture was allowed to warm to room temperature and stirred for 2h. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the product was filtered through a pad of activated basic alumina that was afterwards washed with DCM. 2.70 g of the product were obtained.GC (Method 3A.2): Rt: 8.42 minMS (EI): m/z: 155 (M-45) +, 127 (M-73)
