KNO3 was added to the reaction mixture, followed by stirring at 0C for one hour. After completion of the reaction, the reaction mixture was poured into ice water with stirring and the resulting mixture was filtered under reduced pressure. The filtrate as a brown solid was added to MeOH. The resulting mixture was stirred for one hour and filtered to yield the compound 16 (3.55 g, 66%) as a brown solid.1H-NMR (DMSO-de) delta 11.81 (s, IH), 11.75 (s, IH), 8.55 (d, IH), 7.10(d, IH).
