Material Science OLED Materials Dopant
A dopant refers to a light emitting material in OLED panels that makes up the self-illuminating emissive layer (EML) along with a host material. Dopant interacts with excited excitons created by host material and helps them emit light with higher color purity and luminous efficacy. Dopant concentration and the host–dopant energy offset are identified as the key parameters dictating the light emission process in OLED panel. For TADF dopants, structure designs that are able to suppress of Dexter energy transfer may attract extensive attention in industry and academia.
